NBA Unveils Trophy Lineup for In-Season Tournament
The National Basketball Association has officially unveiled the trophy lineup for its much-anticipated In-Season Tournament, with the grand prize being The NBA Cup. This exquisite piece is the result of a collaborative effort between Tiffany & Co. and artist Victor Solomon. Standing at 23 inches tall, the trophy is a striking blend of gold and black, with the former symbolizing the league's long-standing tradition of excellence and the latter marking a novel addition to the NBA's array of prestigious awards.
Crafted from sterling silver and coated in both 24-karat gold vermeil and black ceramic, the trophy's design is a nod to the league's rich history. Its base features net detailing that harmonizes the design elements found in the bases of the Eastern and Western Conference Championship Trophies. Underneath, the NBA In-Season Tournament event logo is proudly displayed.
Individual Honors and Recognition
The tournament's Most Valuable Player will not go unrecognized; they will be awarded the In-Season Tournament MVP Trophy. At 15 inches tall, this trophy represents the 15 teams in each NBA conference. It is designed with dual stems, which symbolize the final two teams competing for the championship title.
In an act of appreciation for team success, each player from the winning team will receive a medal. These medals are inscribed with the year and the title "NBA In-Season Tournament Champions" on the front. The back side showcases a silhouette of The NBA Cup flanked by tournament brackets, while four balls on the face of the medal represent the semifinalists set to compete in Las Vegas.
A panel comprised of esteemed media members will select the All-Tournament Team, highlighting five players who have demonstrated exceptional skill and performance throughout the competition. Each member of this elite group will also receive a trophy, featuring a solid black crystal basketball adorned with gold channels, one of which incorporates a bracket motif to celebrate the unique structure of the In-Season Tournament.
Semifinal Showdowns Set
Turning to the tournament's progress, the Indiana Pacers have clinched their spot in the East semifinal after triumphing over the Boston Celtics with a score of 122-112. Similarly, the New Orleans Pelicans have advanced to the semifinals following their 127-117 victory against the Sacramento Kings.
The remaining semifinal matchups will be determined after Tuesday night's games, where the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Phoenix Suns, and the Milwaukee Bucks will face off against the New York Knicks. The semifinal games are scheduled for Thursday, December 7, with the ultimate championship game set for Saturday, December 9.

Beyond the court, Toshiba Plaza is gearing up to offer fans a plethora of activities during the tournament. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the NBA Cup in all its glory, delve into exclusive merchandise, and partake in basketball games fashioned after the tournament's competitive spirit.
Adding to the excitement, Nelly and TLC are slated to perform in a musical showdown between the two semifinal games. This performance is part of "The Sum: All-Star Music Battle," a new reality competition series.
